Epic walk day totalling 29km (40,000 steps) through Catlin's seemingly enchanted forest with plenty of moss covered trees, rapids and suspension bridges to keep us entertained. Though it was supposed to be a loop, the logging activities affected out plans by closing off tracks. However, we more than made up for it with some detours which included a hike up to Rocky Knoll view point. Determined to have a proper shower soon, we made it over to Dunedin in preparation for the ALBATROSS tomorrow (one of us is very excited about this 😊). We also picked a great little campsite which is conveniently located close to restaurants so were able to indulge in a delicious dinner which would otherwise have been very wet.
