So we wanted to see Canada's capital, on our way through from Toronto to Montreal. We had planned to drive, but as we didn't have a credit card with us, the Canadian hire companies wouldn't hire us a car (worth noting for other trips). We therefore booked a train. VIA was the rail provider, and it was great. Well managed, comfortable (although a little wobbly whilst reading sometimes) and super convenient. I even managed to send lots of emails and write some of the blog posts.

The AirBnB we booked was great. Centrally located, very comfortable and the host, Isabelle, was lovely. We headed out for an Italian dinner at a local restaurant. The following morning we awoke to a misty rainy day, so decided it should be an inside day. We headed into town took some photos and went to the national gallery, where we were very impressed with the displays, especially the 40no speaker experience which was very immersive and the number of indigenous pieces in every room.

The following day was much better, so we had more of an explore on foot, after the most amazing breakfast at Wilf and Ada Cafe. In the better weather, the city was more enjoyable and less depressing. That afternoon we jumped on the VIA train again and headed to Montreal, which would be our last new city of the trip!
